Trader Joes coming to Texas

For those of us who are willing to load 50 kilos worth of groceries onto an airplane, who know how far it is to the nearest adjacent state and consider it every time we run out of coffee, this blog's for you. Not affilliated in any way with Trader Joe's or its parent company.

New locations, but still none in Texas

Recent additions or about-to-open stores in the TJ's fleet:

Madison, WI Oct. 20

Roswell, GA (Hey Laigh! There's someone else who I play the saxophone for every once in a while, although he moved to Buckhead, a half hour away.)

Brentwood, CA (Up in the Sacramento Delta in northern California, not the Brentwood where the rich live in W. LA. They already have several!)

Cary, NC

Glendale, WI

Pittsburgh, PA (Oct. 27)

Sandy Springs, GA

Walnut Creek, CA

Add to that the old Albertson's by the lakeside in beautiful Oakland (How many square feet must THAT be!) and you see that this is a store chain that is growing by leaps & bounds. Unfortunately, it's bounded right over Texas!
